Forest Hill Gambado jumps forward

If you have been following the saga of The Capitol on London Road, we are happy to provide a brief update as there has been some positive news.

The new owners of The Capitol had made a planning application to Lewisham Council several months ago, and you can find all the documents here [https://planning.lewisham.gov.uk/online-applications/applicationDetails.do?keyVal=_LEWIS_DCAPR_128070&activeTab=summary]. As this is a Listed building, there were many additional reports and conditions to file and to address, and so it has taken quite a long time to reach a decision.

However, last week we heard that Lewisham Council had approved the plans and so they have secured the planning permission and Listed building consent to move forward.

We do not know the current timeline for the works and the launch, but we do hope to see this up and running this year, bringing this amazing building back to life and hopefully also introducing many more families to the delights of Forest Hill.
