About the event
We have been able to arrange a members-only opportunity to visit a private green space in the heart of our area with a unique history.
Brockley Hill Park is a fully enclosed green space accessible only from the properties on Lowther Hill, Duncombe Hill and Brockley View and has been established as a park space that is owned and managed by the residents of those properties. It was originally intended to have a park and even a church, but the church was eventually built on Brockley Rise instead (now known as St. Saviour's). It now has some wild areas but also private amenities and growing spaces, so we will get to vist and learn a bit more about the space, its history, but also the unusual way it is managed which might inspire other such community ownership models.

Because of the nature of the space, numbers need to be limited, and so will be restricted to Forest Hill Society Members on this occasion, and to groups of no more than 2 from each household so that we can allow more families and households to take part (note, children under 12 do not need tickets but will need to stay with the group).
The visit will take around 90 minutes.
If green spaces and local history are interesting to you, you might want to keep this morning free in your diary
